The Live Simply award is a scheme for communities and schools who can show how they have been living.
- Simply
- Sustainability with creation
- In solidarity with people living in poverty
The award celebrates what we already have done and inspires us to do more. It helps our community live, not just more simply, but also more fully.
The award is embedded by our Catholic Social Teaching and our school virtues.
Litter Picking
As part of our Live Simply award, pupils took part in a litter picking activity in our local park.
Social Justice Group
Matt Vickers local MP
Our Social Justice group shared a presentation with Matt Vickers our local MP, then they took part in a question and answer session.
In the words of the Late Pope Francis, “We all have the same rights. When we do not see this, society is unjust. It does not follow the rule of justice, and where there is no justice, there cannot be peace”
Birdhouses
As part of our live simply award we have designed our own bird houses to be placed in our school’s prayer garden. To celebrate the animals using our boxes, but also to celebrate God’s loving gift to us here on Earth. The boxes were designed to inspire everyone who visits our prayer garden to be stewards of the Earth and thank God for the gifts he has given us.
